Danone is back sponsoring the Spanish Olympic delegation

After 24-year of sponsoring the Olympic Games in Barcelona '92, the company is once again supporting the Spanish Olympic Team, with just a few months to go for the start of Rio 2016.

"Is always a satisfaction that a brand of prestige and solvency of Danone wants to join the group of companies that support the Spanish Olympic squad during the upcoming Olympic Games," said Alejandro Blanco, president of the Spanish Olympic Committee. "Danone is and was part of the group of companies that opted decisively for Spanish athletes, when ADO was born. "

Jérôme Boesch, of Danone Iberia, also declared his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, stating "it is an honor for us to continue supporting Spanish sports, especially in such an important year for the Olympic team."

Danone's relationship with the Spanish sport began several decades ago, when the company sponsored the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992. Cobi, the Olympic mascot, was built in the time Danone products. In line with this great sponsorship, Danone continued to support the Spanish sport sponsoring the Spanish Basketball Team at the World Championship held in Spain in 2014 and signing as official supplier of Laliga for the current season.
