OCTAGON NAMES ALEX ROZIS VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS

Octagon Sports & Entertainment Network today named Alex Rozis as Vice President, Global Communications.

 

In the role, Rozis will oversee communications, publicity and media relations for the family of agencies that includes Octagon and Rogers & Cowan. Rozis will report to Lisa Murray, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer.

"During his 18-year career with NBC Sports and ESPN, Alex has earned an exceptional reputation as a communications executive, and we are excited to have him join us,” said Murray. “His knowledge and understanding of the sports and entertainment industry, and long-standing relationships with the media will be a valuable asset to our agency network team.”

Rozis joins Octagon from NBC Sports Group, where he most recently served as Senior Director, Communications. In that role, Rozis was responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for many of NBC Sports’ signature properties and platforms including NASCAR, the NHL, NFL, Olympics, NBC Sports Films and original programming. In addition, Rozis worked with network talent, personalities and executives to drive exposure across all platforms.

Prior to moving to NBC Sports in 2012 as Director of Communications, Rozis served in various communications and marketing positions at ESPN, during an 11-year tenure with the company.
