Turner, Fox Celebrate Argentine Football Acquisition

The companies officially announced the acquisition of the TV rights to the First Division of Argentine football and the launch of FOX Sports Premium in Argentina.

The news became "official" this week, as Turner and Fox announced the acquisition of the TV rights to Argentine football.

"We are very happy to have acquired such a complete rights package, which represents the best in Argentine soccer and we promise to provide our audience across the country with a completely new experience in terms of football," said Whit Richardson, president of Turner Latin America.

In addition, Fox announced the launch of FOX Sports Premium in Argentina, a new offer to provide major First Division matches, live.

Available for all pay TV subscribers starting in August, FOX Sports Premium will be a high-quality experience with 24 hours of programming devoted exclusively to soccer, with new original productions covering debates, analysis and news, and the most renowned local talents and specialists.
