Turner will offer Argentine football through TNT Sports

The new premium channel would be launched in August, according to local media, to offer Argentine football matches alongside FOX Premium.

Owners of Argentine soccer's broadcast rights for months now, FOX and Turner have not offered official details about the broadcast for the upcoming tournament, which begins on August 20.

The games will be split 50-50 between FOX and Turner. FOX will launch a special channel called FOX Premium, to broadcast most of the games, leaving some for their basic channels, FOX Sports 1, 2 and 3.

As for Turner, Argentine media revealed that the company would be launching the premium channel Turner Sports. At the moment, there is no official confirmation from the company.

The new network will be dedicated to broadcast the local football matches, to later offer other sports content.

Argentine media also added that the production of the matches issued by TNT Sports will be in charge of La Corte (which produced Football for All) and FOX's by Torneos y Competencias.
