The XIX edition of the International Creativity Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, awarded TyC Sports with the "Best Advertiser of the Year in Argentina" and "Best Advertiser of the Year in Latin America" awards, after winning 2 Grand Prix and 22 awards for "ConverS.O.S.", "Trump" and "Preguntas", the international campaigns created by Mercado McCann agency.
Mariano Malvasio, head of Marketing at TyC Sports and responsible for the network's campaigns, said: "It's a great pride to be recognized as the best advertiser, which to me is the most important award a company can get at this type of festival. TyC Sports is a communication platform, a pay TV sports network and it's not usual for a platform like this to get an award that's normally reserved for big advertisers who have bigger projects than ours."
In additoin to the two "Best Advertiser" awards, the jury gave TyC Sports the Grand Prix awards in the Ojo Sports and TV Campaign categories. In addition, the network won 22 statues across the different creative categories with 8 golds, 6 silvers and 8 bronzes. ConverS.O.S was the night's big winner, collecting 22 awards among all the campaign pieces, while "Trump" and "Preguntas" got the remaining awards.
